Happy New Year Everyone!

We can't help but take time to reflect on some of the highlights of 2009.

In April we welcomed to Ontario Soudaluck Phanthamixay, "Bee", the CFGB's volunteer Youth Intern. Bee was in Canada for one year with the Mennonite Central Committees International Visitor Exchange Programme (IVEP). During her week with us Bee visited several schools in Eastern and Central Ontario sharing stories about her home country of Laos and talking about some of the Foodgrains Bank supported programming there.

In June musicians once again took to the stage and the water for the Fiddlers On The Trent Festival http://www.fiddlersonthetrent.com/  in support of the CFGB. This annual Father's Day Weekend event draws talented musicans, appreciative audiences and scores of campers as Qunite West's Christian Response to Hunger.

The 3rd Annual Mervin Lush Antique Show was held on the Webb - McCann Farm near Meaford in August.  Although there were 50 antique tractors, demonstrations and musical entertainment, for David the highlight was being asked once again to be a judge in the pie  eating  baking contest!

Among the antiques was this 2009 model side car  made of antique parts.
