The Canadian Foodgrains Bank announces the annual Ontario Fall Information Meetings and invites anyone interested in the CFGB members' overseas aid, relief and development work to attend one of nine meetings across the province. Special guest speaker and gifted story teller, Sam Vander Ende, CFGB Overseas Field representative, will share STORIES FROM THE FIELD.

If you are curious about what working toward ending hunger looks like or would like to hear about the joys and heartaches of creatively engaging with a diversity of people and their challenges overseas, you are encouraged to attend. Have you wondered how you can positively impact the lives of others? Are you aware of Canada's role in providing food assistance to the worlds hungry through the Food Aid Convention?

You are invited to attend the annual Fall Information Meetings that will be hosted across the province the last week of November. Whether you are familiar with Canadian Foodgrains Bank or are curious about what the organization does, everyone is sure to be inspired by hearing "stories from the field". Sam Vander Ende, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, will be sharing stories from his work as the Field Representative for Canadian Foodgrains Bank. Sam's 15 years service with the CFGB provides him with a wealth of knowledge on the current situations in countries around the world, from A to Z, from Angola and Afghanistan to Zambia and Zimbabwe. Of his recent evaluation trip to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Sam writes, "I feel privileged that I have been given the opportunity to represent CFGB on this trip. I feel challenged by all that I have seen and heard. I hope that my visit does in some small way demonstrate the mission and purpose of who we are as people. This is a situation in which wisdom and humility must journey together."
