I.V.E.P. Intern @ CFGB


Juan Raul Junay, recently spent a week in Ontario visiting with Foodgrains Bank supporters.  He is in Canada, volunteering at the CFGB, for one year as part of the Mennonite Central Committee's International Volunteer Exchange Program. IVEP is a vocational and cultural exchange program for young adults, from the global south, between the ages of 18 and 30.

Juan Raul is a forth year anthropology student from Guatemala City, Guatemala. During his volunteer year at the CFGB he has been helping with research as well as speaking on issues of hunger - particularly as they relate to the mining industry in Guatemala.

During his week in Ontario Juan Raul spoke at a Catholic Elementary School in Dorchester, a Public High School in Ingersoll, Rockway Mennonite Collegiate in Kitchener, Hamilton District Christian High School and to a youth group in Vineland as well as attending church suppers in Mount Brydges and Harriston.
